‘Astraea was the Greek goddess of innocence and purity who abandoned the Earth upon witnessing the misery and wickedness of mankind. I have sculpted her standing atop a set of crumbling steps and she has her eyes covered so that she can no longer witness human suffering. According to myth, she will one day return to Earth, bringing an end to the problems of our age.’
