SIR ERNEST SHACKLETON
This portrait bust of the great Antarctic explorer, Sir Ernest Shackleton, was created following Anthony’s time as Artist In Residence with the South Georgia Heritage Trust at Grytviken; Shackleton’s final resting place. The sculpture is now on permanent display at the South Georgia Museum in Grytviken thanks to the generous donation by the Friends of South Georgia Island charity.

LORD CLARK MEDAL
‘The Kenneth Clark Prize medal’ and the ‘Lord Clark Medal’ were designed and sculpted by Anthony Smith for Winchester College. A copy of the Kenneth Clark Prize medal is now in the national collection of coins and medals at the British Museum.
ALFRED RUSSEL WALLACE STATUE
Seven-foot tall bronze statue of the great 19th-century biologist, Alfred Russel Wallace. The statue was unveiled by Sir David Attenborough at the Natural History Museum of London on the 7th of November 2013 – the first new statue commissioned for the Museum in more than 80 years.
Note: the statue has been relocated to the interior gallery of the Museum’s main hall.
