The Trusty Servant Medal
Commissioned by Winchester College in 2014 and awarded to College staff in recognition of many years of loyal service.
The obverse design features a depiction of ‘The Trusty Servant’ – a hybrid animal and visual metaphor for various virtues – first depicted at the College in the 16th Century.
Winchester College was founded in 1382 and is one of the oldest public schools in England.
