“I first read Darwin’s ‘On the Origin of Species’ when I was sixteen years old – it was a life-changing experience. I was inspired to study Zoology at Darwin’s old College – Christ’s College, University of Cambridge – so it was with great honour and delight that I was later commissioned to create several bronze statues of my academic hero.”
